How to Naturally Cure Anxiety
WHO AM I?
My name is Charles and I am an EX anxiety sufferer. During my 8 odd years of suffering and attempting to manage my anxiety with ineffective medication, I dedicated much of my time to finding a way to naturally cure anxiety and eventually found a hugely successful method of doing this. Since my recovery I have committed myself to helping other sufferers cure themselves and have seen amazing results. If you are a sufferer and implement this method it will cure you naturally, quickly, permanently and without the possibilty of a relapse.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?
You may have already seen a doctor about your anxiety, in which case you may already know what the symptoms are. It is likely that he would have prescribed you medication and may even have told you that there is no way to naturally cure anxiety! This is NOT TRUE and I am always sad when my clients tell me that their doctors told them this. You CAN naturally cure anxiety and I am going to show you how.
For those that have not yet seen a doctor, I will provide a short list of some of the symptoms of anxiety and explain why it occurs. Anxiety disorders affect people on different levels, with mild anxiety disorder manifesting itself in shyness and more severe anxiety manifesting itself with a wide variety of symptoms. I will list a few of the symptoms which I experienced prior to my recovery:
1) Depression;
2) Tension headache – feeling of having a tight band around the head;
3) Insomnia;
4) Dizziness;
5) Depersonalisation – feeling of being in a dream-like state;
6) Heart Palpitations;
7) Shaking hands;
Nightmares.
IS ANXIETY HARMFUL?
If you have experienced any of the above symptoms, it is highly probable that they are being caused by anxiety and you should not worry about them. NONE of the symptoms of anxiety are harmful, so just try to ignore them. Again, if you have seen a doctor he or she should have explained this to you (I am always surprised when a client tells me that their doctor did not even explain this!). There is a fast and effective method to naturally cure anxiety permanently which will ofcourse result in all your symptoms disappearing. WHY DO I HAVE ANXIETY?
I never like to use the term ‘disorder’ when describing anxiety, because it seems to suggests that there is something clinically wrong with the person. This is simply not the case. Anxiety is nothing more than a behavioural condition that your body has become accustomed to. What I mean by this requires a brief explanation of what anxiety is and how it develops into a disorder.
Anxiety is commonly known as the ‘fight or flight’ response and it is triggered in the subconscious part of the brain called the ‘amygdala’. When appropriate, anxiety is very important and can provide a person with astonishing physical and mental strength. It is the body’s natural response to a dangerous situation but it is ofcourse only appropriate when REAL danger is present, such as being chased by a bear, for example.
Anxiety disorder develops in a person because for some or other reason, perhaps related to stress or lifestyle conditions, the amygdala has been reset to a level of anxiety that is inappropriate. Hence the person experiences symptoms of anxiety in situations when he or she should normally feel very relaxed. By focussing on these symptoms and worrying about them, the sufferer perpetuates the anxious response. It is a vicious cycle: because the sufferer feels scared from the symptoms he is experiencing, the body thinks that it has now become the normal state of affairs for the person to be scared and so it responds with more anxiety. This is what is meant by anxiety being a behavioural condition and the ONLY way to naturally cure anxiety is to break the anxious cycle by resetting the amygdala back to the appropriate level.
THE TRUTH ABOUT PRESCRIBED MEDICATION
I could start by providing a list of all the drugs that are most commonly used for managing anxiety, but I won’t. Why? Well, it’s quite simple, it just doesn’t matter! Using drugs to cure anxiety is like using a Band Aid to cure an in-growing toenail… it hides the offending wound, but when you take it away, the wound is still present but it’s had time to become infected! Please, don’t become worried about the medication you take. It will not cause you any harm. The point I am making is that your medication is simply irrelevant to your recovery. You may still take your medication while using this method but if you implement the method properly you will soon get to a stage where your medication is no longer needed. Cure Anxiety and Panic Attacks – Signs for YOU to Look For and What To Do Next
Here are some of the common signs you are experiencing a panic attack. Have you ever….?
- Had a tight chest and found it difficult to breathe, even to the point where you feared you may in fact stop breathing altogether?
- Found yourself in hospital because you thought you were having a heart attack only to be told that you were just experiencing intense anxiety?
- Struggled with anxious and unwanted thoughts that just will not stop?
- Been constantly afraid that you will just lose control completely?
- Felt nervous and on edge in normal everyday or ordinary situations that have never bothered you in the past?
- Felt disconnected from what is going on around you?
Let me tell you a story. See if this sounds vaguely familiar. It was the first day of my new job working at the checkouts in a big department store. Of course it’s natural to feel a little anxious about starting a new job, but I was just going to be a checkout operator – not too much of a big deal. Instead I turned up thinking I was fine, only to find myself 5 minutes later out the back in the staffroom with an ice pack and a cup off tea and everyone asking me if I was alright.
My chest had tightened, my heart had experienced sudden palpitations, I got dizzy, I felt like I couldn’t escape, and I starting to black out. And I had no idea why it had just happened. There was no rational explanation.
I had just experience my first <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.squidoo.com/cure-anxiety-and-panic-attack”>Panic Attack</a>
After suffering from panic attacks myself, I have found that the only way to truly conquer panic attacks and be free of anxiety is to address the root cause of the problem:
The actual fear of having a panic attack
I realised the panic attack was only brought on by the anxious thoughts leading up to the actual panic that was the source of the problem. If you can fix this then you will be free of panic attacks in the future. The difference between an anxious person and someone who normally worries (but their worries never turn into full blown panic attacks) is that an anxious person is constantly afraid they will experience a panic attack because of their worries and problems. Everyone else never usually worries they will end up experiencing anything like that, so they never actually do.
So the first step is to ACCEPT these anxious thoughts of a panic attack. When you accept them instead of resisting them you begin to conquer you fears of the thoughts of having a panic attack. If you accept your anxious thoughts and DO NOT RESIST them they will not be as terrible as you thought. They will begin to lose their power.
The more afraid you are, the more you resist, the greater your anxiety level and the greater the chance of you having a panic attack. However if you accept your anxious thoughts and say “panic attack do your best” and you mean it, panic attack will not come. You have essentially dissolved the fear and anxiety contained within the thoughts of having a panic attack. You have therefore taken back your self control.

How to Cure Anxiety Attack – What it Means to be “cured” of Anxiety
“Cure” is not the right word to use for anxiety attack. As anxiety is a natural feeling which anyone can experience, it would be misleading to say that you can eliminate it forever. But make no mistake, a cure is possible.
And by cure I mean achieving a state which you no long have irrational fear, and is able to live the life you used to prior to being stuck with anxiety attack. This is what it means to be “cured” of anxiety attack.
However, take note that you cannot get rid of anxiety attack instantly. Just as Rome wasn’t built in a day, you cannot expect to be permanently rid of anxiety attack this very instant. The healing process is long and would take a substantial amount of time and it would be unwise to hold on to any thoughts of a “miracle cure”.
So how do you go about “curing” anxiety attack?
I am sure you know by now that you cannot experience a full blown anxiety attack constantly. Its not possible. Given enough time, the symptoms will fade away. In fact, you don’t experience the symptoms most of the time but you know that eventually, it will rear its ugly head and you would be helpless against it. So how do you stop it for good?
First of all, you have to learn to not fear anxiety attack. Accept it. Accept the fact that you have anxiety attack. Don’t run or hide from it. Don’t fear anxiety attack returning. This is the MOST important step.
No one can make you believe this fact. I can ask you not to fear anxiety and not to run from it but it won’t be of any use UNLESS you really believe in it. Only YOU can convince yourself of this fact. Things that you learn yourself through experience are far more embedded in you than the things your given freely.
Consider this fact. Despite all the horrible symptoms you went through during anxiety attack, did any of them come true? Did you actually have a heart attack (heart pounding madly)? Did you actually suffocate (difficulty in breathing)? Did you actually faint or die from it?
NO!
As you can see, the truth has been with you all along. Anxiety attack CANNOT harm you. You will ALWAYS be fine and you will NEVER suffer any physical complications from it. You fears are all unfounded – this is the FACT. Convince yourself on this! You don’t need to fear having anxiety attack. You don’t have to run or hide from it.

Anxiety
Living with anxiety can have a real negative impact on not only your life, but for those people who are closet to you. One of the main problems about anxiety is that it is not a visible illness like a broken leg or a broken arm, so some people really struggle to understand what a person with anxiety is going through. Another thing about anxiety especially for the person suffering with it, is that they known it is a irrational fear! But that does not stop that fear spiralling out of control and taking over their lives. To read more about living with anxiety click here.
